-4/9, Officers responded to Uptown Bakeries on High Hill Rd. for a Theft report. It was reported that someone entered an employee’s unlocked vehicle and stole $400 cash.
-4/15, Patrols responded to Green Chef on Commerce Blvd for a Theft of a cell phone. It was reported that the victim left his iPhone SE in the bathroom. When the victim returned, the $200 phone was missing.
-4/19, Officers responded to Acme on Center Square Rd. for a Shoplifting report. It was reported that the suspect stole several containers of Tide pods and diapers, then fled the store. The value of the items stolen is approx. $200.
-4/23, Officers responded to UPS on Birch Creek Rd. for an unwanted person report. It was reported that an employee refused to leave the building and was acting in a disorderly manner. After Officers made multiple attempts to have the employee leave, the employee became more resistant and refused to leave. Officers arrested the employee for Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. During the arrest, the employee kicked Officers and scratched and dug her nails into Officer’s hands. The 28-year-old from Wilmington, De. was charged with Aggravated Assault on Officers, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing. She was released on a summons with a pending court date.
-4/24, Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of the Wawa on Center Square Rd. After investigating the crash, Officers arrested the 41-year-old Sewell, NJ man for Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released to a third party pending a future court date.
-4/26, Officers responded to Wawa on Center Square Rd. for a Shoplifting report. It was reported that the suspect entered the store, removed several cases of Red Bull energy drinks, and left without paying. The approx. value stolen is $190.
-4/30, Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Commerce Blvd. While investigating the stop, it was learned that one of the passengers had an NCIC warrant for his arrest out of Monmouth County. The 49-year-old Wilmington, De. man was placed under arrest and lodged in the Salem County Jail.
