The Logan Township Office of Emergency Management in coordination with the Logan Township Mayor and Council, the Logan Township Clerks Office, the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management and the Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services wants to bring our community up to speed with what is being done on a local level to prepare for and combat the spread of COVID-19, commonly referred to as Coronavirus.

The township has stepped up it’s cleaning of common surfaces such as door handles, countertops and common areas of the Municipal Building and township vehicles. All employees are being encouraged to engage in good personal hygiene practices including:

  1. Regular hand washing with soap and water
  2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  3. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing
  4. Avoid contact with people who are sick
  5. Stay home while you are sick and avoid contact with others

Keep in mind that although this virus has had widespread impacts worldwide, the risk of contracting the virus remains relatively low. To further reduce the likelihood of becoming ill, EVERYONE should continue to practice good personal hygiene habits.

Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency which will enable agencies in New Jersey to obtain necessary resources should the need arise.
