***CORRECTION: On 4/23 an Oriole Dr resident found a stolen safe in his trash can. A previous release stated the safe was located in his garage, which was not the actual location. There was evidence that the safe had been cut open in the garage but it was then moved to the trash can. LTPD apologizes for this mistake.
4/27: Inv. Nick Barber concluded an investigation into several recent shoplifting complaints from the ACME, 1619 Center Square Rd. He subsequently developed probable cause to charge a 27 year old Woodstown woman with shoplifting and a 26 year old Pennsville with criminal mischief. Both women were arrested, processed and released pending court dates.
4/28: A 25 year old Pennsville man was arrested and charged with a violation of a court order. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $10,000 full cash bail.
4/29: While investigating a suspicious activity complaint at the Township Line Road Park, patrol officers arrested an 18 year old Logan Township man and charged him with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.
4/30: Incident to a motor vehicle stop on I-295, police arrested a 22 year old Logan Township man for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.
5/1: While assisting a motorist whose vehicle became disabled, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed marijuana in his possession and in the vehicle. The operator, a 23 year old Philadelphia man was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana. He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.
