12/22: While following up on a previous theft report, officers arrested a 23 year old Logan Township man for possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous outstanding warrants totaling $695 and a 21 year old Sewell woman for possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle as well as an outstanding warrant in the amount of $525. Both subjects were processed and released pending future court dates.
12/23: Police investigated a report of shoplifting during which an unidentified white female in her 20’s placed numerous items into her purse then fled the store.
12/24: Police investigated a report of suspicious activity at Wawa, 1700 Center Square Rd. Upon completion of that investigation, a 27 year old Knoxville, TN woman was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. She was processed and released pending court. A 57 year old Friendsville, TN man was also arrested and charged with possession of prescription legend drugs. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $7,500.00 bail.
12/26: Incident to a family dispute, police arrested a 33 year old Logan Township man on an active NCIC hit and numerous other outstanding warrants. He was remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of bail.
12/26: Police investigated a report of burglary and theft from a hotel room at the Hampton Inn, 2 Pureland Dr. The items, valued at approximately $100, were found in another room the following day and returned to the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
12/26: Police arrested a 46 year old Woolwich Township woman for DWI following a motor vehicle crash on Village Center Dr. She was processed and released pending a date in court.
12/28: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 32 year old Camden man was arrested as a fugitive from justice and turned over to the Camden County Sheriff’s Department.
12/29: Police investigated the theft of a wallet and fraudulent use of a credit card from 406 Heron Dr. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending review of surveillance video.
12/30: A 29 year old Carneys Point man was arrested for hindering apprehension and an outstanding warrant from Camden City. He was processed and released pending future court dates.
12/31: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 20 year old Salem City man was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Pens Grove Boro. He was released on his own recognizance with a new court date.
12/31: Police investigated a non-specific bomb threat at Amazon Fulfillment, 2277 Center Square Rd. With the assistance of numerous explosive detection K-9 units from various jurisdictions, the facility was deemed safe and reoccupied.
12/31: A Logan Township man turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. He posted $1500 full cash bail and was released with a new court date.
1/1: Police investigated an incident of domestic violence and subsequently charged a 33 year old East Greenwich Township man with assault. He was later apprehended, processed and released pending a date in municipal court.
1/2: Police investigated a shoplifting report at ACME, 1619 Center Square Rd, during which an estimated $80 worth of merchandise was stolen. An investigation is ongoing.
1/4: Police investigated the shoplifting of $559.94 worth of merchandise from Rite-Aid, 335 Village Center Dr. Within minutes of the initial report, responding officers located and detained two females. A 27 year old Pittsgrove Township woman and a 28 year old Mantua Township female were arrested and charged with shoplifting. Both were processed and released pending Grand Jury action.
1/5: Officers investigated the shoplifting of $94.94 worth of energy drinks and frozen food from ACME, 1619 Center Square Rd. The female suspect was confronted by store personnel and abandoned the merchandise in the parking lot. An investigation into her identity is ongoing.
1/6: Police attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on High Hill Rd, at which time the operator refused to stop and attempted to elude police, eventually fleeing from the vehicle on foot. Efforts to locate the driver, including a K-9 track from the vehicle, yielded negative results. The subsequent investigation revealed the suspect to be Chamorick Biles of Collingdale, PA. Charges are pending.
