Narcotics Investigation Yields Drugs/Gun
On April 7, 2016 Logan Township Police executed a search warrant at 88 Hancock St, following a month long investigation into narcotics distribution. Officers seized two bags containing suspected cocaine, a bag containing suspected marijuana, a bag containing a white powdery substance suspected to be a “cutting” agent, two digtal scales, a large quantity of clear Ziploc bags commonly used to package narcotics, several partially smoked cigars containing suspected marijuana, cigarette rolling papers, two large smoking pipes (bongs) and a .177 caliber BB gun.
As a result of the investigation and the evidence seized, the 18 year old resident, Fausto Martinez, was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Under 50g of marijuana, Distribution of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was fingerprinted, photographed, served with his summonses and released pending Grand Jury action. Additional charges may be forthcoming. The investigation was led by Inv. Nick Barber.
